US “GDPR or CCPA-like” State laws – is it time to invest in a privacy program?

Broadcast Date: April 09, 2019 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM EDT

At the latest count, 11 states in the United States were discussing legislation introducing new privacy rights for consumers, either inspired by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). At the same time, various members of Congress are considering putting forward federal omnibus privacy legislation. Many organizations have started to wonder how to deal with all these new laws, even if they are still only in draft. Is it time to start investing in an encompassing privacy program? And how do you do that in a changing legislative landscape?

Join this webinar to learn more about Nymity’s proven accountability approach to demonstrate compliance with a multitude of laws. We will explain what is already required under the over 400 existing privacy laws in the United States, and how to monitor what’s coming at state and federal level in the months and years to come. You will also hear about best practices from privacy professionals throughout the U.S. And how relevant is the work that you have already done to deal with CCPA, GDPR or other privacy laws around the world?
